General Questions

Q: What is Get On Board?
A: We are a kitesurfing school and accommodation provider located in Isla Blanca, Cancun, offering IKO-certified lessons and beachfront stays.

Q: Where are you located?
A: Our facility is located in Cancun, Punta Sam and Isla Blanca, just north of Cancun, a prime spot for kitesurfing with ideal conditions year-round.

Q: Who can take kitesurfing lessons?
A: Our lessons are designed for all levels—from complete beginners to advanced riders. As long as you’re comfortable in the water, you’re welcome!

Kitesurfing Lessons

Q: What is included in the kitesurfing lessons?
A: Lessons include IKO-certified instruction, all necessary equipment (kite, board, harness, helmet, life jacket), and a tailored learning experience.

Q: How long are the lessons?
A: Lessons typically last 3 hours per session. Packages are available for multiple days to ensure steady progression.

Q: Do I need prior experience?
A: No experience is necessary! Our certified instructors will guide you through every step, starting from safety and basic kite control to riding independently.

Q: What is the best season for kitesurfing?
A: The best season is November to May when the winds are most consistent, providing perfect conditions for learning and improving.

Accommodation

Q: What are the accommodations like?
A: Our beachfront accommodations are cozy and well-equipped, offering a relaxing atmosphere with full day access to the kite spot on the private beach in front of the hotel as well as easy access to other kitesurfing spots.

Q: Can I book accommodation separately from lessons?
A: Yes, you can book your stay even if you’re not taking lessons, though most of our guests combine both for the ultimate experience.

Q: Do you offer meals or dining options?
A: We offer simple breakfast and and dinner. While we don’t have an on-site restaurant, our location is close to local dining options, and some units come with kitchen facilities.

Booking & Payment

Q: How do I book lessons or accommodation?
A: You can book directly through our website or contact us via email or phone for personalized assistance.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept cash, major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and bank transfers.

​

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the start date will receive a full refund to Get on Board wallet - the funds will be available for you to book classes/rentals the next time.

Q: Can I bring my own kitesurfing gear?
A: Absolutely! If you prefer using your own equipment, feel free to bring it along.

Q: Is there Wi-Fi available at the accommodation?
A: Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all our accommodations.

Q: Do you offer group lessons?
A: Yes, we offer both private and group lessons. Group lessons are a fun and budget-friendly option for friends or families.

A: Definitely! Isla Blanca’s flat, shallow waters and steady winds make it one of the best places in the world for learning kitesurfing.
